Junior Development
Junior Development is where players begin to see soccer as more than just a game — it’s where they learn to train with purpose, compete with confidence, and grow as teammates and leaders. At this stage, kids are ready for more advanced development, and our program gives them the tools to rise to the challenge.
Each session blends structured technical training—ball mastery, passing and receiving under pressure, movement off the ball, and attacking/defending principles—with small-sided scrimmages that encourage decision-making in real game situations. Our coaches guide players step by step, creating an environment that is competitive yet supportive, where every child can push their limits, build resilience, and gain the confidence to take their game forward.

Helping Your Child Discover Strengths You Already See.
Junior Development
The Junior Development program is where soccer truly comes to life. For players ages 8–12, it’s a time of discovery, growth, and deeper commitment — to the game, themselves, and their teammates.
Our coaches meet every child where they are, whether passionate players or just beginning their journey. We nurture skill and confidence while honoring individuality and building resilience, leadership, and character.
Here, effort matters as much as achievement. Players learn advanced techniques, experience real team play, and take pride in their contributions. Every milestone builds belief in themselves — as athletes and as leaders.
Above all, Junior Development is a safe, supportive community where families celebrate progress, friendships grow, and every child is encouraged to shine.

Uniforms
Each child enrolled will receive an official Open Goal Soccer shirt as part of their registration. This shirt helps every player feel included and part of the team from day one. Players should wear comfortable athletic shorts, socks, and either sneakers or cleats depending on the playing surface. (Sneakers are required for indoor sessions.) Extra shirts are available for purchase if needed.
Location
Our sessions are held at Flushing Meadows Park in the heart of Queens, NY, with the option of nearby parks when needed. We love giving children the chance to play on open grass fields, where they can move freely and enjoy the game in a natural outdoor setting. During the colder months, we may bring sessions indoors so players can continue to learn, grow, and have fun in a safe, comfortable environment. Families will always receive the exact field location before the semester begins, making drop-off and pick-up simple and stress-free.
Missed sessions
We understand that life happens — kids get sick, families travel, and weekends can get busy. If your child needs to miss a class, just let us know in advance. Missed sessions can be made up within the same semester, based on coach availability. This way, every child stays on track while keeping our programs consistent and fair for all families.
Flexible Payment Options
We understand that every family’s needs are different. That’s why Open Goal Soccer provides flexible ways to pay. You can pay in full using any major payment method, or convenient payment installment plans.
Our priority is to make soccer accessible, affordable, and stress-free — so your child can focus on playing, growing, and having fun.

Because the Strengths You See Deserve to Grow.
“Enroll today and give your child a safe place to grow, connect, and be celebrated for who they are."
