ABOUT
OPEN GOAL SOCCER
At Open Goal Soccer, we do more than teach kids how to kick a ball — we create a place where every child feels safe, supported, and celebrated. Our unique approach is built on three core beliefs:
-
A Focus on Connection: Unlike traditional, competition-focused programs, we create a welcoming environment where every child and every family belongs.
-
Play-Based Learning: Our coaches use patience and encouragement, not pressure, to help kids build lasting skills and confidence on and off the field.
-
Celebrating Every Victory: We believe small victories matter just as much as big goals. Every game is a chance to grow — not just as players, but as people.

OUR NYC Soccer PROGRAm
A developmental journey—building skills, confidence, and love for the game.
Open Enrollment
Soccer Foundations
Ages 8-15
Our adaptive soccer program is thoughtfully designed for children of all abilities. In this smaller-group setting, we create a calm, supportive space where children learn through structure, patience, and encouragement.
For children who benefit from a little extra guidance, we also offer an optional Buddy Support approach, providing a consistent, supportive presence to help them feel comfortable, engaged, and confident during sessions.
Through predictable routines, adaptive coaching, guided support, and fun ball play, kids build fundamental skills, confidence, and social-emotional growth—while discovering the joy of playing alongside teammates.

How we're Different
At Open Goal Soccer, we understand that true development begins with belonging and desire. We've witnessed the disappointment that children feel when forced to fit in traditional sports ideology. This is why we've dropped our approach to be fundamentally different from the start—creating a space where every child can experience the joy of soccer.
Family-Centered
Parents are partners, not bystanders. We design with families, listen to their needs, and even bring soccer to them.
Accessible by Design
Flexible locations, affordable options, and empathetic coaching ensure no family feels excluded from the soccer community.

Soccer as Belonging
We create a place where every child feels they truly belong—no pressure, no judgment, just joy in growth.
Play Over Pressure
Learning is play-based and adaptive. Kids discover skills naturally through games, not drills that intimidate.
Whole-Child Focus
Beyond the ball, we nurture social-emotional growth, patience, and self-confidence that carry into everyday life.
We meet in several locations
Open Goal Soccer meets year-round at thoughtfully selected locations across Queens and NYC.
During the warmer months, we gather outdoors at the beautiful Flushing Meadows–Corona Park, offering open space, fresh air, and a calm environment for movement and play.
